My Raving Fans!

"We were very happy with Mary. Baxter and Charlie had a great time with her and Farrah and we would be happy to have her back."
-Phil+Sonia (Baxter+Charlie)

"I just wanted to tell you how much we appreciated your pet/house sitting while we were away.  Mary left the house spotless & even washed our sheets & towels for us for when we got home.  The dogs were happy to see us, but I'm sure they'll miss the hikes every day. I can't tell you how nice it was to be so far away from my dogs, and know that they were being so well looked after."
-Becky (Daisy+Bailey)

Mary Crawford - K9 Nanny

I grew up in Sarnia, Ontario in a house that was often filled with more animals than people! I have raised fosters, occasional guests and pets of my own, caring for all creatures was a part of my daily routine and childhood.

I received my Honours Bachelors of Arts degree in Global Studies and Archaeology with a Research Specialization option from Wilfrid Laurier University the spring of 2015, and am currently pursuing my Masters degree at the University of Waterloo in Development Practice.

I have fostered two dogs for the Dog Guides of Canada that are now working guide dogs helping others. Farrah, a black lab, and Luna, a flat coat retriever, have taught me a lot about the mischievous but adorable ways of puppies. It has been a huge learning experience and has given me the necessary skills and much needed patience in order to work with dogs.

Since I have retired from the fostering program, I have adopted my own trouble maker named Moose. He is a King Shepherd (a larger and fluffier version of a German Shepherd), whose ears never went up, so he has quite the unique look! You will often see him sitting in the passenger seat of my car as he is my co captain - he has a better sense of direction than I do! He will be starting his work as a therapy dog with St John's Ambulance come the fall in order to help bring some puppy healing to those most in need!

Each dog him and I meet have wonderful personality all their own and it is so great to have this opportunity to get to know each one of the dogs I walk. I have been with the company since September 2014 and have come to love all of the dogs I work with. From training classes to group walks, I have come to know many dogs and clients and created friendships that will last a lifetime!

In Action!
